This article explains the reasoning behind requiring a subscription plan in order to use Printfection's swag management service.
A bit of background
Starting in the summer of 2014 we began requiring all new accounts sign-up for a subscription plan in order to use the Printfection service. There were a number of reasons for this decision, but suffice to say: without a cost alignment we couldn't continue offering and growing the Printfection service.
Why we use a subscription plan model
As we've moved to provide more product options, new printing methods, and better overall service, we've tried to simplify and improve the way we charge for our platform. Instead of inflated product costs (which are confusing) or nickle-and-dime fees (which are shiesty) we decided to go with a cleaner and easier-to-understand pricing model that was fair to all our customers.
Our goal
Like many companies in today's tech space we want simple and fair pricing that aligns with our service offering. We also want to make sure our model can support the continued growth and reliability of our platform.
