Integrating Printfection with Salesforce Lightning (for sales rep orders)

Overview

If you've referenced our article about integrating Printfection with Salesforce for sales rep orders, you may have noticed the approach described doesn't work with Lightning.

This article will show you how you can make the magic happen within Lightning.

How to integrate Printfection with Salesforce Lightning

There is a quick way you can do to easily allow reps to submit new orders.

The only downside is the order IDs won't be stored back in Salesforce.

To get this setup, just create a new Link on the object you'd like this on (usually opportunity or task objects) and then add the link to the page layout (under the Custom Links section).

Here's what the configuration looks like.

You'd simply use the URL from your Printfection Collection campaign instead of the one in the screenshot.

You can also use Salesforce variables in your URL to pre-populate the fields for more efficient order submissions. Make sure to add these fields via the "Insert Field" dropdown.

The following example would insert fields via the Account and Contact records.

http://get.printfection.com/kdssg/121121221212211?name={!Contact.Name}&company={!Account.Name}&address={!Account.BillingStreet}&city={!Account.BillingCity}&state={!Account.BillingState}&zipcode={!Account.BillingPostalCode}&email={!Contact.Email}&phone={!Contact.Phone}

You may preset the following variables in the URL.

  • name
  • company
  • address
  • address_2
  • city
  • state
  • zipcode
  • country
  • phone
  • email
  • gift_message
